Air Nostrum increases its offer to Melilla between June and October

Spanish regional airline Air Nostrum announced that it will increase its frequencies from Melilla (MLN) to Granada (GRX), Almería (LEI), and Seville (SVQ) between June and October. According to the company, the operation in the North African autonomous city will exceed the three connections required by Spain’s Public Service Obligations (OSP).

The biggest increases in the seats offer will be on services from Melilla to Almería and Granada. On both routes, Air Nostrum will increase from the current seven weekly frequencies to nine. The number of seats available will be 80% higher than the minimum required by the OSP.

As of June 1st, weekly operations between Melilla and Almería will consist of one daily flight and an additional frequency on Mondays and Fridays. The objective is to reinforce weekend services and increase connectivity with the Iberian Peninsula. In Granada, the daily route will be maintained and an additional frequency will be added on Sundays and Fridays.

Between Melilla and Seville, Air Nostrum will offer a frequency in both directions on Sundays and Mondays. In addition, it will operate two daily flights on Fridays, starting July 1st. With the increase in the operations, the number of seats offered to and from the Andalusian city will be 33% higher than the minimum required by the OSP, according to the Iberia-franchised airline.

The flights will be operated by ATR 72-600 aircraft configured for 72 passengers in a single class. The services are already being marketed through the company’s official channels.
