Embraer bets big on the Asian Defense & Security (ADAS) show

Embraer will promote its complete portfolio of products and solutions for the defense and security markets at the Asian Defense & Security (ADAS) show in the Philippines, which will take place April 27 to 29.

Embraer’s Defense & Security segment features a portfolio of modern and efficient products and solutions, including the C-390 Millennium multi-mission transport aircraft and the A-29 Super Tucano light attack and training aircraft, as well as extensive solutions for the air, land, maritime, space and cyber segments.

KC-390 Millennium

Since its first delivery to the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) in 2019, the KC-390 Millennium multi-mission aircraft has proven its capability, reliability, and excellent performance in domestic and overseas missions.

The FAB currently operates a fleet of five KC-390s, with another seventeen units on order. These aircraft have already exceeded 5,000 operational flight hours, which is more than 600 flight hours per year for each aircraft, with a mission accomplishment rate of 97%, demonstrating exceptional productivity in the category. The aircraft has already been selected by two NATO nations, Portugal, and Hungary.

A-29 Super Tucano

A-29 Super Tucano

Embraer recently celebrated 500,000 flight hours of the worldwide fleet of A-29 Super Tucano aircraft. With more than 260 units delivered, the aircraft was selected by more than fifteen air forces around the world, including the Philippines, which currently has a fleet of six A-29 Super Tucano aircraft. The Philippine fleet of aircraft was delivered in 2020, during the global pandemic, reflecting Embraer’s commitment to the Philippine Air Force.

Developed to meet the demanding requirements of the FAB, the A-29 Super Tucano can perform a wide range of missions including light attack, aerial surveillance and interdiction, and counterinsurgency operations.

Robust and versatile, the A-29 can operate from remote, unpaved airstrips to forward operating bases in hostile environments with little support, all with low operating costs and high availability.

P600 AEW

Embraer will also be promoting in the Asian market its innovative AEW (Airborne Early Warning) solution, developed in partnership with the renowned Israeli company IAI/Elta Systems.

The P600 AEW is the first airborne AEW system based on a super-midsize aircraft (the Embraer Preator 600), which represents the opening of a new niche in this exclusive market.

Equipped with a state-of-the-art GaN AESA 4D S-band 240° coverage radar and mission equipment, the Embraer P600 AEW can provide airborne surveillance capability with up to 7.5hs of mission time, at the most affordable cost in the market.
