American Airlines to increase flights between Miami and Cozumel

As the high season begins, American Airlines will boost its operations between Miami and Cozumel. The company currently provides two weekly services on Boeing 737-800s and Embraer 175s, with 172 and 76 seats respectively.

Beginning May 5th, American Airlines will have a daily frequency on the Miami – Cozumel route. With this increase, the carrier will offer 1,204 seats per week on each leg.

Boeing 737-800s will operate between Miami and Cozumel from May to September. Embraer 175s will return in October, according to the Cirium aeronautical intelligence platform.

  • Charlotte (CLT): Boeing 737-800

  • Dallas (DFW): Boeing 737-800
  • Miami (MIA): Boeing 737-800

Dallas is American Airlines’ main destination in Cozumel. The airline operates  nine flights per week connecting the two airports.
