“The new route connects two destinations of excellence in the Mayan World: Cancun and Flores, and is part of the strategy that the company has set out to broaden aviation services and connectivity in the region. In recent months TAG Airlines has been a leader in the expansion of routes to the south of Mexico. Today we can say that this route is a reality, due to the friendship and cooperation bonds between both countries, we are opening new paths for tourism and commercial development in the region” said Julio Gamero, CEO of TAG Airlines.

The airline already serves Guatemala City (GUA) with Cancun, Quintana Roo (CUN) and Tapachula, Chiapas (TAP) and by the first quarter of 2022 expects to connect with Yucatan through Merida (MID).
