LATAM and Delta Air Lines announced today Nov 15 the expansion of their codeshare agreement between the United States and South America.

Under this agreement, customers of both airlines will now have access to more than 20 international routes between the U.S. and the countries where LATAM operates in South America, as well as connections to domestic and intra-continental destinations.

LATAM will also add eight new international routes operated by Delta to South America and 11 domestic destinations within the U.S. from Atlanta.

Delta will add 12 international routes operated by LATAM to North America as well as seven interregional routes in South America and four new domestic destinations in Chile.

“Delta is becoming more committed than ever to bringing our customers extensive travel options and award-winning service,” said Alain Bellemare, President International, Delta Air Lines. “The extension of our codeshare agreement with LATAM Group will allow Delta in expanding our network of connecting routes and enhancing customer benefits just as borders have reopened and customers are once again traveling freely”.

Overall, this announcement increases the offering between the two regions with 40 destinations in South America and more than 70 domestic routes within the United States.

In addition, the agreement includes both carriers’ loyalty programs, LATAM Pass and SkyMiles, as well as priority boarding, additional baggage check-in, and VIP lounge access for select categories.

“This codeshare expansion allows us to offer LATAM and Delta passengers the most extensive network of connections on the continent, with improved schedules, safety, and award-winning service worldwide,” said Marty St. George, CCO of LATAM Airlines Group.

Delta Air Lines and LATAM will complement their existing codeshare network in the coming months with new routes to Delta’s U.S. and U.S.-Canada destinations.
