Venezuelan government authorizes special flights between Venezuela and Spain

-

As announced by the president of the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC), Juan Manuel Teixeira Diaz, the Bolivarian government authorized thirteen special flights between Spain and Venezuela. The approved flights will be operated between November 2021 and January 2022 by Air Europa, Iberia, and Plus Ultra.

Venezuela has major restrictions on international flights. Currently only scheduled flights to Bolivia, Mexico, Panama, Dominican Republic, Russia, and Turkey are authorized, making them the only options to connect to other countries.

The approvals allow Air Europa to operate four flights between November 15 and January 23, 2022, from Madrid (MAD) to Caracas (CCS) and vice versa; Iberia has been granted to operate five flights between November 1 and January 30, 2022, from Madrid (MAD) to Caracas (CCS) and vice versa.

Finally, Plus Ultra has four flights approved between November 8 and January 16, 2022, the company has the possibility to operate from Madrid (MAD) or Tenerife (TFN) to Caracas (CCS) and vice versa.

At the time of publishing this note, the three Spanish companies were reorganizing their schedules to organize each flight. The companies encourage their customers to contact them for more information on these special connections.

Other options to travel to Europe

Turkish Airlines operates from Istanbul (IST) to Caracas (CCS) and vice versa with a daily flight on Boeing 787-9 aircraft. These flights make it possible to connect to destinations in the old continent through the Turkish network.

Connections through Panama and the Dominican Republic are complex for travelers since in both cases the same booking is required for transit at Las Americas International Airport, Tocumen International Airport, or Punta Cana International Airport.
