Nearly all of the Americas removed from the red list for entry to the UK from October 11

Following an update announcement by UK Transport Secretary Grant Schapps, 47 countries on the so-called “Red List” will be removed from the list as of 4 am on Monday, October 11.

Only 7 countries will be maintained on the Red List, all from Central and South America: Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Haiti, Panama, Peru, and Venezuela, freeing the entry of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, French Guiana, Guyana, Mexico, Reunion, Suriname, Trinidad, and Tobago and Uruguay.

Outside the regional area, important countries such as South Africa, Thailand, Georgia and Ethiopia, among others, have been added.
