British Airways resumes operations to Seville

The largest airline of International Airlines Group (IAG), British Airways continues to recover its operations in Spain, one of its main international markets, with the resumption of its thirteenth destination in the country, from today resume its operation between London Heathrow – Seville with three weekly flights, currently the airline is operating all its Spanish destinations from the main airport of the British capital.

During 2019 London (from Gatwick, Luton and Stansted airports) was Seville’s main international destination where 460,076 passengers flew, behind Paris, previously British Airways operated from Gatwick and competed against ultra low cost airlines Ryanair and Easyjet. In 2020 with the pandemic crisis the market was reduced by 75.32% and with the constant health restrictions access to international flights in Seville has been registering, currently in 2021 the current traffic only represents 4.33% of pre-pandemic levels.

The flight schedule is as follows:
  • London Heathrow – Seville BA2798 LHR 08:15 – SVQ 12:00 three weekly flights on Monday, Friday, Sunday operated by Airbus A320CEO.
  • Seville – London Heathrow BA2799 SVQ 8:10 – LHR 21:55 three flights a week on Monday, Friday, Sunday operated by Airbus A320CEO.

British Airways is currently operating from Spain to the following destinations: Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante, Bilbao, Bilbao, Ibiza, Lanzarote, Las Palmas, Malaga, Menorca, Palma de Mallorca, Tenerife South, Valencia and again Seville.
