Argentina removes quarantine on arrival for nationals and residents starting September 24

-

In a new clarification of the terms of the opening measures announced yesterday by Argentina’s Minister of Health Carla Vizzotti and the Chief of Staff Juan Manzur, Casa Rosada’s (Government House) Instagram account informed that as of September 24, Argentine citizens and residents who have the complete vaccination schedule will not have to observe quarantine, regardless of the reason for the trip.

This decision implies the total opening of the reentry of nationals and residents, which is now limited only to the daily passenger entry quotas provided by ANAC and Migrations, a provision that is in force until October 1.

Argentines and residents must undergo a PCR test up to 72 hours prior to boarding, an antigen test upon arrival and a PCR test after 7 days.

On September 24, foreigners arriving to the country for work purposes will be excluded from isolation, complying with the same conditions as Argentines and residents.

The natives or residents of neighboring countries with a complete vaccination schedule will be able to enter the territory for any reason as from October 1, and the rest of the foreigners will have unrestricted access as from November 1.

For those who have not yet completed their vaccination scheme, the regulation imposes the PCR test up to 72 hours prior to embarkation, antigen test upon arrival, isolation under the conditions in force and test on day 7.
